Content strategy
Which parts of your farm make people stop scrolling, how to plan a week of posts around work you're already doing, and how to keep going when a video flops.
TikTok vs. Instagram
How the two platforms differ for a farm, whether to post the same video to both, and which one fits your customers and the hours you have each week.
Filming the farm
Hooks, length, captions and sound. What makes the first few seconds work, what to film, and how to get it done without losing half a day of farm work.
Views into sales
A video that travels is only the start. What goes in your bio, how to point viewers to your shop or delivery signup, and how to tell which posts are actually selling.
Who you'll be talking to
A California native, Nate left Silicon Valley for a pasture in Oklahoma. Prairie Creek Farms started in January 2016 with three scrubby acres west of Tulsa, leased for a dollar a year, and ten Berkshire piglets. Today it raises grass-fed beef, pastured pork, chicken and eggs in Kellyville and feeds hundreds of families a month across Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
At the end of the day, we are grass farmers. Grass is the center of every operation we have here, and the animals are our tools.
Nate is also the farm's voice online. More than 100,000 people follow Prairie Creek on TikTok, the account has passed a million likes, and one recent video crossed 6 million views.
When egg shortages or beef prices make the news, Tulsa TV stations call him for the local farmer's side of the story.
