Every feature on Farmhand started with a CSA farmer.

We build with farmers because software that doesn't know a packing shed can't fix what breaks in one. For any CSA model, customizable to farmers' choice to market-style.

THE FARMER WE BUILT IT WITH

Halley Stillman

Still Life Farm · Hardwick, MA

Halley came to us embarrassed. Her signup page looked like it was stuck in 2015 — because it was. Her farm looked nothing like that. So we built a website and marketing presence that does.

“Farmhand is like having a team member I never had to hire.”

MARKETING

Your farm is one of one. Your marketing should be, too.

Your land, your members, your story. No template should flatten that, and no dashboard should make you look like everyone else. Halley at Still Life Farm came to us embarrassed — her signup page looked like it was stuck in 2015 (because it was). We built marketing with her, then templatized it from the fastest-growing CSAs on Farmhand.

  • Done-for-you newsletters, flyers, and social graphics — built by the Farmhand team, not you at midnight in Canva

  • Branded websites and mobile-first ecommerce shops (because that's how today's members buy)

  • SMS + email sales campaigns and playbooks followed by the fastest-growing CSA farms

Laci Tagge

Tagge's Famous Fruit + Veggies · Salt Lake City, UT

Laci runs one of the largest CSAs in the country. We rode along with her crew through peak pickup weeks — they told us what real fulfillment looks like when you're packing thousands of boxes a week and missing one can't happen. We built it with them.

FULFILLMENT

Zero-error delivery starts in the field.

A failed fulfillment is the #1 reason members churn. We rode with Laci at Tagge's — one of the largest CSAs in the country — through peak pickup weeks. Her crew told us what they actually needed for seamless delivery. Then we made sure a farm with 100 members benefits from what a farm with 2,000 already learned.

  • Thermal and Office Printer packing label templates, station-separated, with route order

  • Reports and pack lists customized to how you pack (by item, weight, zone, etc.)

  • Multi-driver optimized routing & proof-of-delivery photos

  • Automated SMS & email order alerts and delivery confirmations

Melanie Cunningham

Shakefork Community Farm · Carlotta, CA

Melanie was spending hours every week chasing failed payments and unpaid invoices, managing a 150+ CSA members on spreadsheets. She told us she didn't start a farm to become a collections agent — so we built the automated alerts system with her. Her inbox stopped flooding. Her weeknights for family came back.

"Delegating to Farmhand means I can actually farm now."

SUPPORT

Software alone won't save you.

When a payment bounces and you're busy in the pack shed, you need a team, not a help article. Farmer Melanie at Shakefork was running 150+ members on spreadsheets, juggling messages across SMS, email, and Instagram, and up late every weeknight stitching it together by hand.

She didn't start a farm to become a collections agent or an inbox manager. So we automated more than payments — the retries, the skips, the holds, the signup flows — and put a real human on the other end of every message a member sends. Her inbox hit zero. Her weeknights came back.

  • Auto-retry on failed payments — no more chasing members

  • 7-day/week human support via chat, email, and SMS — real people who know you and your customers by name

  • Automated skips, holds, waitlists, billing notifications and renewals

Questions from farms thinking about switching

CAN FARMHAND HANDLE MY SPECIFIC CSA MODEL?

Yes. Customizable (members pick their items), farmers’ choice (you curate the box), market-style (members shop from an open list), and hybrid models — all supported. Switch between them seasonally if that’s your flow.

What does Farmhand cost?

Most CSA farms pay between $80 and $200/month — and many save money by dropping the separate routing, email, and SMS tooling they usually pay for on top of CSA software.

What if I need a feature you don't have?

Tell us. Our roadmap is built from farmer conversations. If it makes sense, we build it — often within weeks.

Will I lose member data?

No. We migrate your full member list, payment history, and share settings. Nothing gets lost, nothing gets left behind. Most farms are live within two weeks. We handle the heavy lifting — you keep farming.

Can I talk to a farmer who already switched?

Absolutely. We'll connect you with Melanie, Carolyn, Halley, or any farm in your area that's made the switch.

Still have questions?

Get in touch with Ari – he's happy to answer any questions you have.
