Farmhand runs the signups, the billing, the pickup sites, the skips, and the renewal campaign — so your morning starts in the field instead of the spreadsheet.
Fifteen minutes with Ari, our founder and a farmer.
“I was aligning my work to my spreadsheet — limiting the number of memberships and pickup locations based on what it could handle.”

How it actually works
Every farm on this page has the same number in their phone. They text what they need, a person on our team does it, and texts back.

Everything Farmhand runs
Farmhand runs customizable, farmer’s choice, market-style, and hybrid CSAs — including some of the largest in the country. Every feature on this page started with a CSA farmer on the phone, not a roadmap meeting.
Marketing
Fill every share, fill every pickup site, and move the surplus — from the same place you run the farm.

Melanie turned a time-consuming renewal process into a campaign — one send, early-bird pricing, and over $40,000 committed in two weeks. Signs and cards at the pickup sites keep filling the rest.

Billing
Collect the season up front or spread it out, take SNAP/EBT online, and stop tracking payments by hand.

Aliza’s first week on Farmhand surfaced four failed payments she never knew about — three cleared themselves overnight. She doubled her CSA in under a season, 100+ new members in 90 days, without going back to a spreadsheet.

Fulfillment
Pack from the list, run one route, and keep everyone waiting on it informed.

Frog Hollow moves 1,000+ CSA orders, and our fulfillment was built around their pack shed — packing tags ordered by weight so the crew knows what to pack first, and reports laid out to match the stations.

Support
Send us the change and get back to the field.
This is the first year I wasn’t answering all those little questions. It’s a huge mental timesaver.

Coaching
Monthly 1:1 calls with Ari, plus the playbooks that came from farms already past the problem you are hitting.

“Every farm treats the season opener like a deadline. We stopped doing that.” Laci kept signups open into the season with pro-rated pricing, so the people who would not commit in February joined once they saw a real box. Her first season on Farmhand finished at 1,500 members.

Operations Calculator
Rebuilding the member list every season, re-sorting the pack list by hand, working out who actually paid. None of it shows up on a statement. The Operations Calculator puts a number on those hours and shows you what they are worth.

Making the switch
You talk to Ari, our founder, not a sales rep. He walks through what your shares, routes, and members would look like on Farmhand. No pitch deck.
We move your members, payment history, share settings, fulfillment setup, and website. We will build you a site if you do not have one. You do not touch a spreadsheet.
Members migrated, signup page live, first newsletter queued, routes optimized. We are on call seven days a week if anything comes up.
Most farms are fully migrated and live inside two weeks — in the middle of a season, if that is when you need it.
Questions
Yes. Customizable (members pick their items), farmer’s choice (you curate the box), market style (members shop from an open list), and hybrid models are all supported. You can switch between them seasonally if that is your flow. Tell Ari how your shares actually work and he will show you the setup.
Most CSA farms pay between $80 and $200 a month, and many save money by dropping the separate routing, email, and SMS tools they were paying for on top of an old platform.
No. We migrate your full member list, payment history, balances, and share settings. Nothing gets lost and nothing gets left behind. Every member gets a welcome guide, a login, and support from our team.
Most farms are fully migrated in under two weeks. We do the heavy lifting and you keep farming — including mid-season, if that is when you need to move.
Yes, online at checkout. Members pay with SNAP/EBT on your site alongside card, debit, ACH, cash, and check, and all of it posts to the same member balance with no extra admin for you.
Members handle their own from their account. They skip a week, put the share on hold, or swap pickup sites, and your pack list and routes update automatically. The messages that reach you are only the ones that actually need you.
All handled. Sell them as weekly extras, seasonal bundles, member-only offers, or flash sales on surplus. One checkout, one portal, one pack list.
Tell us. Our roadmap is built from farmer conversations. If it makes sense for CSA farms, we build it — often within weeks, and you see it live.
Yes. We will connect you with Melanie, Carolyn, Aliza, Laci, or a farm near you that has already moved.
Ari is our founder and a farmer. He will walk through your shares, your pickup sites, and your season, and tell you straight whether Farmhand fits how your farm actually runs.
