Add a payment method without leaving the shop

Before, if a member tried to save changes to their cart but didn't have a payment method on file — or didn't have enough account credit to cover the order — they got bounced over to the payment page. Their cart edits were still there, unsaved, sitting until the weekly cutoff. But because nothing redirected them back to the shop after adding a card, members often didn't realize their changes hadn't gone through, and some never came back to finish — missing out on items they actually wanted.
Now, when a shopper hits that wall, an Add card dialog opens right on top of the open cart. Their items stay put. The dialog explains why a card is needed, and for add-on-only carts, notes that add-ons aren't eligible for customizable plan credit. Once they add a card, they can retry the save from the same spot — no navigating away, no doubt about whether the order went through.
Built With Farmers. Not For.

Tom Broz
Tom at Live Earth Farm wants the experience of shopping with his farm to feel as seamless as any modern online store. Members hitting a payment-method roadblock and being shipped off to a separate page — with no clear way back and no signal about what had actually saved — was the kind of friction that erodes trust, and he wanted it fixed before any more sales walked out the door.
