When a member calls to order a Thanksgiving turkey, or their own checkout fails, you need to place that pre-order for them. Until now, Create Order didn't know about pre-order sales, so the turkey ended up on the member's regular box that week, billed and packed with it and missing from your pre-order report.
Now, when you add an item from an active pre-order sale in Create Order, that sale gets its own fulfillment section with its own pickup and delivery options and dates. You can still pick a date or spot the sale doesn't usually offer, for a member who arranged a special handoff, and you'll just see a warning. A late phone order can still use a sale date whose ordering cutoff has passed.
Mix items from different sales with regular items and Create Order shows you how it will split them: one order per sale, plus one for everything else. Each pre-order bills and shows up on your pre-order report just like one the member placed themselves.
Built with Maranda at Milkmaid's Market, who needed to take a member's turkey pre-order by hand and still have it land on the right date and report.
