Card payments cost more to process than bank transfers, and cash or check costs nothing at all. Until now your service fee was one flat percentage, so you could pass the whole thing on to members or absorb it yourself, with nothing in between.
Now your farm can have a separate rate for card, bank account (ACH) and cash/check. The "Processing only" setting passes members just the cost of processing their payment, like 4% on card, 1% on bank and 0% on cash or check. A table shows exactly what the member pays, what you absorb and what Farmhand's fee is for each method.
Members see the fee for each method before they pay, so paying by bank or check becomes an easy way for them to save. The rate follows them through signup, renewals, add-ons and store orders. Farms that don't use per-method rates keep working exactly as they do today.
