Charge customers instantly when adding to orders
Until now, adding an item to a confirmed order meant floating the cost as a pending charge — collected later, often confusing for customers to reconcile. Now you can charge immediately. When you add items or increase quantities on a confirmed CSA order or paid retail order, you'll see two options: Pending Charge (the old way) or Charge Now. Choose Charge Now and the customer's saved card is charged instantly through Stripe, with the invoice linked right back to the original order. If the charge fails, nothing breaks — the order stays intact and you can try again. And if you cancel an order that had instant charges attached, those amounts are automatically credited back to the customer's account.
