Turn on inventory tracking
On any product details page, look for the right-hand panel labeled Inventory Tracking.
- By default, tracking is off — there's no limit on how much of that product can go into people's orders. Leave it that way if you don't need to restrict it.
- Turn it on to set a maximum quantity you can sell until you update it again.
How tracking works
Inventory is tracked in multiples of your base unit. If the base unit is a stem and your pricing variants are different numbers of stems, everything deducts in stems:
- Set inventory to 60 stems — someone orders 1 stem, it drops to 59; 6 stems, 54; 12 stems, 48.
- If someone removes items from their cart before their order cutoff, those go back into inventory automatically.
- At zero, the product shows as Sold Out on your shop page — and becomes available again the moment stock returns from an abandoned cart.
Manage inventory in bulk
On the product list page, the Inventory column shows what's tracking and what's unlimited.
- Select the products you want to change and click Edit.
- In the Inventory column, turn tracking on to add a limit, turn it off to remove one, or type a new quantity — say your blueberries came in lighter than expected, drop the boxes from 100 to 80.
- Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to revert them.
Turn tracking off
- Select the product and click Edit.
- In the Inventory column, click Turn off — the quantity disappears.
- Click Save. The product is now unlimited.
