Your shop groups products into categories like Vegetables, Fruit and Merch. Until now, adding a category or changing their order meant asking the Farmhand support team, and even then changes took about 20 minutes to show up on your shop.
Now you can manage them yourself under Settings → Shop → Categories. You’ll see every category in the order your shop shows it, with how many products are in each.
Create a category. New ones go at the end of the list, so they don’t jump to the front of your shop.
Rename a category, and the new name shows everywhere, including your shop.
Reorder by dragging, or with Move up and Move down. Your shop keeps its current order until you press Save.
Delete an empty category. If it still has products, you’ll see which ones to move first.
Categories that don’t show on your shop, like an empty one or one that only holds CSA products, are dimmed. Hover over the icon to see why.
Every change shows up on your shop within seconds of saving.
Laci often adds and rearranges categories in Tagge’s shop to drive sales and help customers discover new products.
